We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, upload a resume, or use our services. This includes:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password
• Profile data: Work history, education, skills, and career information you enter
• Resume content: Text extracted from uploaded resumes
• Usage data: How you interact with JobOS features
• Job application data: Jobs you track, applications you submit, and related activity

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Generate AI-powered resume tailoring, interview prep, and career coaching
• Autofill job applications via the Chrome extension (using your profile data)
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the platform

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Resume files are stored in Supabase Storage. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. AI Processing

When you use AI features (Resume Studio, Career Coach, Interview Prep), your profile and resume data is sent to Google Gemini API to generate responses. This data is processed per Google's API privacy terms and is not used to train their models.

5. Chrome Extension

The JobOS Chrome Extension accesses your profile data to autofill job applications. The extension communicates with our servers using a secure JWT token. No browsing data beyond the current job application page is collected.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Access, update, or delete your account data at any time via Settings
• Export your data by contacting us
• Withdraw consent for AI processing (this will limit AI features)
